  • "After a brief spell in Egypt Richard Lynch was transferred to France on 7 April. Whilst near Flers on the Somme, on 12 September, he was wounded in both his arms and right thigh and was immediately transferred to No.1 NZGH, Brockenhurst. He died on 30 September." (Church, 108) AWMM
