    • 'Greymouth Railwayman’s Death'
      Word was received by Mr J. Robertson, of Greymouth, on October 7th that his wife's brother, Philip Phelan, died from enteric at Malta. Private Philip Phelan was a member of the Greymouth Branch of the A. S. R. S., and when the war broke out he enlisted at Dunedin for the front, and during the campaign he got wounded, and when better he returned to the front, only to succumb to disease.
