- Henry Murray was the son of Gordon Luckhurst Murray and of Elizabeth Murray (nee Allan), of Timaru.
Three sons, brothers were killed in WW2: David Magnus Murray (8176); Gavin Allan Murray (36771) and Henry James Murray (NZ415820).
