Portion of a letter book (not indexed) containing correspondence to William Gibson and Robert Mitchell, July 1855 - March 1856 (correspondence found on pages 2, and 33-68 only). Includes letters relating to dissolution of the partnership ('Quadruple Alliance') in 1855. Imprint copies on onionskin paper, these letters provide a unique insight into the 'Alliance' and early Auckland commerce.
