Miripekapeka, Taurapa

This taurapa, stern post from the canoe 'Miripekapeka', has a large, uncarved central figure with hands to his stomach. Smaller, uncarved figures and large spirals feature throughout the taurapa. The surface of the wood is worn and smooth.
