Makau 'iwi
Makau 'iwi. Bone fish hook. This group consists of thirty three parts. Twenty seven are bone pieces that make up whole or composite hooks. The bone material is akin to cow bone. These parts range in composites of incurved points, barbed points and knobbed heads in different sizes. They are off white in colour with some featuring cracks and perforated surfaces. The remaining 6 parts show the use of sea glass material in a light green and matte yellow tone.
