i Roi

i Roi. Fly whisk. Made from composite materials. The i Roi consists of a long liga ni i roi (handle) carved from kau (wood) that is round in section with ulu ni ose (horse hair) attached to the top of the wooden handle as the whisk. The strands of pale yellow ulu ni ose (horse hair) are straight and glossy. They are long in length and attached securely to the head of the medium brown handle, thin metal coil (possibly copper) wrapped around the handle at the point a thick and lush texture. The butt of the handle finishes in a bulb form and a braided leather suspension cord woven over this that is brown in colour.
