Tairiiri. Fan. Composite tairiiri woven from kikau ou (young coconut leaf) attached to mauranga (handle) rakau (wooden). The blade is in shape of an inverted triangle. Plaited commencement at centre base of the blade. Woven out in check. Natural colour overall. Mauranga is broken away at centre with only the top of the mauranga inserted into the blade. Lashed at the centre base of the blade with cotton thread.
