Toki, Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from basalt toka (stone). Dark grey in colour. Triangular in cross-section. Cutting edge is broken off. Bevel surface is shallow and concave. Sides are pecked. Front of the blade is rounded with surface treated with pecking and areas of low polish. Slight shoulder. From shoulder reduced to butt. Butt left pecked. Broken at poll end with some flaking left visible. Surface treatment overall is mostly left pecked with some areas of low polish.
