'Au'upega
'Au'upega. Club. This is a large sized wooden club which was made from one block of wood. This 'au'upega is reminiscent of a paddle or large sword. The handle is cylindrical in shape and the blade of the 'au'upega is slightly flatter than the handle. The body of the 'au'upega flares out and then back in to a point, in an elongated diamond shape and cross section. Along the blade there are five sections of incised decorations on the wood, which have been infilled with lime. 'Au'upega like this one were often wielded by men and/or warriors during times of battle and warfare.
