i Voce. Paddle. This i Voce is carved from kau (wood) into a long cylindrical shaft and teardrop-shaped blade that culminates in a pointed tip. The blade has a central longitudinal ridge spanning the base of the blade to the tip. The wood is medium brown colour with variation at the sides and minor surface scratches and a glossy patina.
