Reru. Pounder. Carved from a single piece of keho/morevai (stalactite). Flat pounding surface. Reduction from octagonal base to form cylindrical grip. Top of pounder is transverse. Conical in overall shape. Scratches and minor red markings at pounding surface. Chipping at top of pounder. Tan/brown in colour. Overall good condition. "48645" (ethnology number) is written in black ink, along with "COOK IS.- Mauke?" written in white ink on the base of the object.
