Manafau. Dancing skirt. This manafau is made from natural coloured as well as dyed fau (hibiscus) fibres. The waistband is plaited strips of fau which have coloured rosettes plaited into the outside. Underneath are cylindrical woven dyed pendants which are dyed green, brown, purple and natural. Fau strips are left hanging freely and evenly across the length of the waistband.
