human history
Kete pusa. Storage basket. Made by Fetaomi Moelau. This kete is made from launiu (coconut leaf). Two coconut fronds are split down the middle and the two halves are woven together so that the shiny side is the outer surface. Then, these two sections are woven together to make a strong, tight weave. The kete is oval and circular in shape and is light brown in colour. Kete like this one are often used as storage. Due to the size of this one it may have been used for clothing storage.
