Ato
human history
Ato. Personal handbag. This finely woven ato is cylindrical in shape, perhaps woven around a tin can to keep the form consistent. A separate lid woven from the same material fits tightly over the top of the cylindrical form. A handle plaited from fenū (young coconut fibre) in a 4-ply rope technique is attached to the sides of the bag.
