Fragment, Yame ni Matau (adze). Yame ni Matau (the tongue of the adze), is carved from vatu (stone), and is mostly grey in colour and speckled with light-brown colour all over. The Yame ni Matau is narrow with an elliptical cross-section, and has a moderately sharp cutting edge, with a steep bevel, as well as has a moderate level polish all over.
