Iri Buli

Iri Buli. Fan. Woven in the style distinctive to the women of Daku village, Tailevu province. Woven from drau ni niu (coconut leaflet) (coconut leaflets) of natural colour and magimagi (coconut sennit) braided in tali tolu (3 ply braiding technique) tightly wrapped around the handle. Blade's commencement at centre base, woven out in vertical twill. Blade is shaped like a spade. Frayed at one side, with two holes of insect damage.
