Kali. Headrest. A carved kali consisting of a rest that is long and narrow in shape, carved to a point at each end with a small circular piece of shell or bone inlay inserted into the tip although one is missing. Triangular in section. Decorative notches line the sides and central underside of the rest. Two trianguar yava ni kali (support legs) are lashed with magimagi (coconut sennit) to the underside of the rest. Each yava ni kali has a diamond-shaped base and flared sides. One foot is slightly loose at its join. Dark brown in colour.
