Omore

Omore. Spear, broken. This omore (spear) is carved from ra'au (hardwood) into a long cylindrical shaft that is flanged and carved to a point at base end and double collared at the other at which point the shaft is broken. At this distal end of the shaft it is also square in section. The carved double collar feature has decorative surface carving and some damage to one of the collars. The omore is dark red brown in colour and has a glossy patina.
