Toki

Toki. Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from toka (stone). Dark brown in colour. Trapezoidal in cross-section. Sharp cutting edge. Long shallow bevel slightly rounded towards the cutting edge. Front of the blade is flat and highly polished. Raised shoulder. Reduced towards butt and poll from shoulder. Butt left slightly pecked. Poll left roughly worked. Overall surface treatment is highly polished.
