Tui kupenga. Net gauge. Used in the manufacture of fishing nets. Long flat wooden blade, pointed at both ends. Carved from rakau (wood) toa (Pacific Ironwood). Dark brown in colour. Hole drilled through the middle.

Tui kupenga. Net gauge. Long flat wooden blade, pointed at both ends. Carved from rakau (wood) toa (Pacific Ironwood). Dark brown in colour. Hole drilled through the middle. Good condition. "12300 RAROTONGA PRES." handwritten in white ink at the middle of the object. Hole drilled at the centre. "RAROTONGA T. F. CHEESEMAN PRESENTED" handwritten in black ink serrated white circular sticker adhered to the object.
