pot
human history
A deep, globular ceramic vessel with a short, recurved rim. A punching sequence outlines the rim and neckline. A moulded and stamped zig zag design encircles the shoulder in high relief. There is a highly decorative, figurative handle (broken) on one side of the vessel. A animalistic head and paws or claws peers over the rim of the vessel. Its body makes up the handle and its back legs attach to the full girth of the pot. There appears to be stone or bone inset into the facial detail of the animal.
