Sedre ni Kakana

Sedre ni Waiwai (oil dish). Dish used for waiwai (coconut oil) or yaqona (kava). Carved from solid kau (wood) of dark brown colour into a long and narrow curved blade shape. Surface is smooth. Rounded at the base. A twine cord tied into a drilled hole at one end. Evidence of insect borer.
