Foe. Paddle. Carved from a single piece of rakau nu (coconut tree wood). Rapa (blade) has rough edges, and is pointed with a lug at the tip of blade. The butt-end of the kakau (handle) is flat. The junction between the handle and the blade is decorated with indentations, diamond and circular shaped mother of pearl shells. Two diamond shaped shells are missing. There are light coloured markings visible on kakau (handle) near base of blade. Brown in colour. Good condition overall.
