Fa’paurou. Hat. Fa’paurou is made of strips and woven strands of sa'anga (pandanus) with masi (bark cloth) decoration. Brim and crown of are woven separately. Brim consists of eleven strands, 3-ply, woven from strips of sa'anga consisting of various shades of brown. Each woven strand is machine-sewn together using black coloured cotton thread. The crown consists of woven strips of voivoi. The woven strips comprise a strand, 15 in total, that are machine-sewn together using white coloured cotton thread. The brim is decorated with a rose, made of masi (bark cloth), sewn onto brim. There are two plaits made of sa'anga strips, each plaited 3-ply.
