'Au'au. Plaster cast of a Marquesan prow ornament. This replica depicts a stylised ti'i (ancestral human figure) placed at a curved angle to a long pointed stake. The cast is plainted dark brown although flecks of paint have fallen away to make the white of the plaster underneath visible.
