Toki. Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from toka (stone). Dark grey in colour. Triangular cross-section. Sharp cutting edge. Bevel surface is on a concave incline towards cutting edge. Front of blade is slightly rounded, highly polished. Raised shoulder at the top of the blade, reduces to butt. Butt is roughly polished, areas of pecking still evident. Poll is roughly worked. Overall surface treatment is polished.
