Toki. Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from basalt toka (stone). Dark grey in colour. Triangular cross-section. Dull cutting edge. Steep bevel surface. Flat blade. Prominent shoulder reduced to butt. Rounded butt is slightly longer than the blade. Pecked poll. Overall surface of the adze is highly polished with areas of pecking at the poll.
