Reru. Pounder. Used for pounding food or ingredients for producing dyes. Carved froma single piece of stalactite (keho, morevai). Loss at head, very little grip. Body of the pounder is small and conical in shape (narrow at the neck and gradually expanding till widest at base). Pounding surface slightly convex. Light brown, beige in colour. Rough textured surface. Attributed to Mangaia, Cook Islands.
