Toki. Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from toka (stone). Dark brown-grey in colour. Triangular in cross-section. Cutting edge is sharp. Bevel surface is shallow, concave, and highly polished. Sides are pecked. Front of the blade is flat and polished. Raised shoulder. Reduction towards butt from shoulder. Butt is polished but has evidence of pecking. Poll is roughly worked, some flaking evident. Overall surface treatment is mostly polished.
