This pudding pounderfrom Banks Islands, Vanuatu, is carved from wood. A bird is carved at proximal end, sitting on a circular disc with decorative elementx below. Woode shaft has slight natural curve with series of longitudinal cracks (approx. L.430mm), two shorter cracks at distal end. Shaft slightly flares to distal point, circular in cross-section.
