figure, clay
One of 600,000 small statues that were hand-made from local clay by volunteer participants in workshops, each statue representing one of those (from all nations) who died in Belgium. The statues were made by volunteers as part of the First World War commemorative installation, Coming World Remember Me (CWRM), installed in No Man's Land, Zillebeke, Belgium for several months in 2018. Each statue is symbolic of a figure seated with head bowed and arms encircling knees.
