Te katau te nana. Waist ornament of coconut shell discs. This is made up of two components; te kora (sennit cord) and te nana (coconut shell discs). This is a double stranded piece, notably large and heavy in appearance. The strands are of two-ply te kora, used to thread numerous te nana which are perforated at the centre. Te nana are of various shades of its natural, dark brown colour. They have been drilled or cut from a larger piece, showing thin in depth and large in circumference.
