Fao'a. Adze rough-out. Ofa'i (stone) forms the basic shape of this Fao'a (adze) rough-out including blade, raised bevel and chipped cutting edge. It is trapezoidal in section. The sides are uneven. The all-over surface has been unfinished and left deeply flaked. The unfinished Fao'a is a brown-grey colour.
