'Arā. Adze blade. Carved from a single piece of ofa'i (stone), quadrangular in cross-section, with a steep bevel, and a mildly sharp cutting edge. Reduced to butt from shoulder, and the blade is short and slightly rounded. Blade has a moderate to high polish. Areas of the blade, sides, poll and butt left flaked. Muddy brown/grey in colour.
