Te bunna
human history
Te bunna. Neck ornament. Made of dark human hair, it is plaited together using three-ply plaitwork. The plaited human hair is of an extremely long length, where it is folded repeatedly to form the body of te bunna. Each end is individually tied together using a twisted fibre. Te bunna is specially intended to mark a blessing on a visitor when placed on the neck.
