Kai ni ngongo
Kai ni ngongo. Back scratcher. This is a wooden back scratcher carved from ngea (pemphis acidula) wood. It has been carved as one entire piece. It features a long, flat wooden handle. A foot has been carved out at the opposite end. A thin edge forms the end of the foot where the depth extends out towards the handle section. Two incisions have been carved out of the footed section. The grain of the wood runs vertically along the handle. The surface texture is matte with varied tones of brown.
