Te taona n riri te nikabono. Waist ornament of conus shells. This taona n riri is intended to be worn around the waist atop a riri (skirt) as part of dance costume and is sized for a small girl. The ornament consists of thirty five segments of nouo (conus shell) ground and polished into flat circular discs, perforated near edge and plaited onto dark brown te kora (coconut sennit). The nouo discs are off-white in colour with natural spiralled speckling across the surface and a hole at the centre of many of the nouo discs.
