diorama, traveling education
New Zealand history diorama of colonial houses, enclosed in wooden glass-fronted carry case. The sloped glass front features a banner label identifying the two periods represented in the diorama. A slotted compartment to the rear of the case holds several teaching resources in support of the diorama including framed overhead projector transparencies of house plans. A single carrying handle is centrally attached on the top of the case. Metal label attached to case identifies it as Auckland Museum School Service resource #191. This case was available in the 1980s before the lending service ceased.
