Coconut leaf basket

Section of coconut frond split longitudinally down the stem. Commencement at the rim. One strip supplies the dextrals, the other, the sinistrals. Plaited in horizontal twilled twos (additional strips added when required). The strips are narrowed and closed. Bottom closed with two directional three-ply braid. Tails tucked under a single strip at each end.
