Coconut leaf basket

Two sections of coconut leaf frond split longitudinally each with 10 leaves attached, each half leaf split into four creating 80 plaiting strips. For each leaf four strips are used as sinistrals and other four used as dextral plaiting strips. Purchased at Girl Guides Shop, Port Mresby, 1993.
