Saqa Vonu

Saqa Vonu. Water vessel made from low-fired qele (clay) in the shape of a vonu (turtle). Brown mottled colour. Orifices for water to pour at opposite ends of the vessel. Oval shape with clay head, little feet and front limbs. Underside of the form is decorated with qele. Glazed with makadre (resin from the Dakua tree).
