Te tui misa

Te tui misa. Misa shell necklace. This tui misa is created with misa kena (seashell, Melambus luteus) of a pale yellow colour with brown misa uli (seashell, Melambus fasciatus) incorporated as decorative accents strung onto nylon string. There is slight pink tinge of colouring on some of the misa kena shells. This tui misa was given as a farewell gift to the donors in the 1970s.
