Aū’a. Bowl. Carved from a single piece of ra'au (wood), possibly coconut tree wood. Oval in shape. Lug at an end with a hole drilled through it. Wide rim, approximately 12mm wide. Dark brown/black coloured markings visible across the inner surface of the aū’a. Cracks visible across the inner surface and underside of the aū’a. Light coloured markings, possibly paint, visible across the underside and external surface near rim. Chipping across rim near lug as well as across rim of sides.
