Reva. Wall hanging. Rectangular piece of cloth tui rima (hand sewn) in a variation of tivaevae tataura (Cook Islands embroidery) style. Floral border and basket arrangement design hand-embroidered in a stem stitch technique with red cotton thread on cream white cotton background. Faint light blue outline of additional motif suggests unfinished embroidery of stylised 'M' at either sid eof the central floral motif. Faded with stains along edges. The red stitchwork visible on the reverse side of the cotton.
