Pare
Pare. Hat. Woven from strips of pae'ore (pandanus). Woven out in a wide check weave, with decorative loops incorporated into the weave. The woven strips have formed wide strips, which have been machine sewn together, using cotton thread. The base of the crown has been woven out in a twill weave as well as woven out to form a serrated edge. The base of the crown is further decorated with a woven band, which incorporate decorative large loops into the weave. The sides of the crown are woven out to form hollow, decorative, cross-like shapes. Natural in colour.
