Lau kafa
human history
Laukafa. Bundle of fibre. Processed by Pou Poasa. This laukafa is medium brown in colour, the strands are approximately the same length and are coarse. This laukafa was harvested from a niu agalele (type of coconut) which is old in age. The strands are often plaited or rolled together to create long kafa (coconut sennit cordage) which have many uses such as lashing materials together.
