Tukituki
human history
Tukituki. Pounder. Made form gagie wood, this tukituki is cylindrical in shape and tapers to a thick base. It is dark brown in colour and gradually becomes lighter towards the thicker end. Due to the small size of this tukituki, it was possibly used as a pounder for baby food. The length of a tukituki is dependant on the height of the pot or bowl in which it will be used.
