Bilo ni Yaqona

Bilo ni Yaqona. Coconut shell cup for yaqona (kava). Consisting of the cut lower half of a qa ni bilo (coconut shell). Hole drilled through near edge of the qa ni bilo. A piece of thread is looped through the hole and knotted at ends. Brown in colour. A rectangular sticker stuck across inner surface of shell with "Auckland Museum. HON. J. B. TURNER'S COLLECTION OF FIJI ETHNOLOGY. No." printed across the sticker in black ink.
