Toki. Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from basalt toka (stone). Dark grey in colour. Triangular cross-section. Chipped cutting edge. Shallow bevel surface. Chip on the front of blade near the cutting edge. Slightly raised shoulder. From the shoulder reduced to butt, which is lightly polished with some pecking. Poll has low level of polish and pecking is still evident. Overall surface treatment has pecking and low level of polish.
